Group news and information

1st Holmer (Hereford) Scout Group exists to deliver Scouting to young people aged 6-14 years in the Holmer, Bobblestock and north Hereford area. We are a charity registered with the Charities Commission (charity number 521369) and managed and run entirely by volunteers. We are proud members of the worldwide family of Scouts which is the largest youth movement in the world. In the UK, The Scout Association (“The Scouts") is the largest co-educational youth organisation. If you want to feel part of a family, yet be a member of something really big which makes a difference to millians of lives across the world, then we are for you.

Our Group is managed by our Group Executive Committee, the members of which are the Charity Trustees of the Scout Group, which is an educational charity. The trustees are responsible for complying with charity regulations, and for ensuring our Group is governed appropriately and is able to deliver our objectives. Every year, at our AGM, we appoint office bearers (chair, treasurer and secretary) and elect trustees to serve on our committee. If you wish to be considered for one of the office bearer posts, or to stand for election as a trustee, please complete the form below:
